Transformers 2 - Is it really that bad?

Has anyone seen the new Transformers movie? I've been wanting to see it since the end of the first one. but recently I've been hearing a lot of critics have been slamming it pretty badly. I'd like to get someone else's opinion on here.

I haven't seen it and don't have an opinion on it. Your post made me think of the critics' poor rating of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. The critics were negative, but the public loved it.

I have to admit, this sequel was not as good as the first one. Not sure if because the first one was so novel it made it more interesting. But I sort of enjoyed the story line along with the special effects much more than the second.

That is not to take away from the sequel because the special effects were quite good as well. But it just did not seem to get me caught up in it as did the first one.

I would say go see it or maybe rent the DVD

My son wanted to go see the movie but according to the parents that I spoke with, there are sexual innuendos that are in the movie that may not be appropriate for his age. And since I'm the dad, what I say goes. :)
