McDonnell's victory
I for one am very happy that McDonnell won this election. I think he has good things to offer the state and the Republican party as a whole. With the GOP winning in New Jersey and Virginia I wonder if this is really going to have the impact on Obama that they think it will.

I'm very happy too and I feel it's going to be good. We can't let the lefties run the government. If they do, we are all in huge trouble. You can kiss your freedom good bye.

Ladies i totally agree, i come from a state that believes in abortion , gay marriage and what ever they want to shove down your thoart, what the hell has happen to the church going person have we as a nation lost are mind god i think we have im extremely scared for the next upcoming years a dark cloud hangs over us we might start becoming a socialist state as time progresses
-
Socialism has been a big concern of mine every since the presidential election last year. I think people need to stop and think about this. What may seem like a step in the right direction now, could lead to more government control and, eventually, socialism in the future. Then what? Our kids will end up with the government taking over their lives and it will be because of the decisions we are making now. Hopefully McDonnell will be a strong voice who can help us fight the good fight.

God I certainly hope so , the tax burden alone will cost are children thousands if not more. I have a daughter who is 17 yrs old and she is noticing it now, I always kid everyone that when i was young i was a very liberal person then i got a job paid taxes then i realized hey im a republican, lol thats how i feel. The message was certainly sent out there to the Dems. with the crushing defeats in Virgina and New Jersey , i think New Jersey was the real kicker Obama made it a point to come there and ride Corzine right into office well thank god there is a god. Hopefully we will see more of this as time goes on, still no new jobs added to the job market, housing still a major problem but we have a president who kisses ass to terriost states and their leaders and is on the cooking shows, Jay Leno, and flying on tax payers money to Europe to get his city he came from the Olympics really now, are we stupid or something, oh it drives me nuts, and you cant talk to a dem. cause no matter what you say they blame Bush for everything well guys your man has been in office for almost a year and what has he done jack shit sorry about those worlds but its true, we need people to work so there will be no issue of healthcare cause with jobs people get healthcare, ,,,, ok i need to breathe lol

I am also happy with his win. When Kaine won the previous election I shook my head in dismay. I didn't think he was good for the City of Richmond, but somehow he made it to the Governor's seat.
I am feeling very hopeful that our state will swing back to the right a bit more.

It looks like the tide is turning , New Jersey , Virgina , and now in my county which a democrat has ruled for twenty years , now a republican has won. The message that Obama has sent is now scaring those who voted for him , not to elect those who follow him. Thank god for freedom
-
I'm not crazy about Kaine, especially with his shenanigans, but we'll see what happens with the general state of things. I don't think that McDonnell will be any better. And, I don't think you can play everything on Obama when he hasn't been in office for even a year.

Joan , no one at this point is blaming Obama for nothing he hasnt done anything at this point, im perfectly happy with my medical i dont need the government stepping in and telling me either you take the government plan or we are going to surcharge your policy you have now, there are over 245 million americans 45 million who dont have medical, could be that some are off the books and they carry no coverage, others could be lazy pieces of cow dong and dont want to work , but the point is your telling me that the 45 million are speaking out for the rest of the 200 plus million i dont think so , there is something smelly here. Plus these stimulus packages that he is handing out , who the hell do you think is going to pay for this, we are dont need a rocket scientist to figure that out, do you think for one moment that the rich are going to standby and let themselves be the savoirs of the american society. Ok here is what they will say , hahahahahahahahah. This President needs to listen to the people now not Nancy Pelosi with all her face lifts telling us whats good for us, dam the lady doesnt no me does she no you that well. Government when it gets bigger the people have less to say and this is the road we are heading down , god i can spend hours on this , but thank god i believe in values , Now if the President said John you need to go to church every sunday then i would say your right Mr. President we all do. Also Joan if you remember the Clinton days alot of this carried over into Presidents Bush office years. So Obama will get the same , but sooner or later you can not keep blaming the prior president you need to take action and tell the american people im responsible for my actions yes, and stop going on cooking channels or flying to Denmark to tell the Olympic committee hey the United States wants it. A waste of taxpayers money. Boy one year and we are no better off

Anyone ever see the movie "John Q"? Perfect example of one of the things that need to be fixed in Healthcare. We don't need a Government run system or public option. Just make it more affordable across the board. Heathcare is about people and people's lives. There are drugs and services that can save people but they don't get it unless they can jump through hoops because the companies that make the stuff are more concerned about that "bottom-line" than helping someone live. Shame on them!
